Fudgecicle 5K

Race #4 in the Fudgcicle 5K Series

Bob and Sally Hansford, the race directors, host the Fudgecicle 5K every Saturday morning in January and February. (8:00 AM at Tewksbury High School, in Tewksbury, MA.)  It's a real gem in the local racing circuit.  A dedicated group of runners (Okay. We're "hard-core") show up each week, even when temps drop to zero and a North wind cuts through every layer you've put on.

But there's no need for layers today!  The temp at race time is a balmy 35 or 36 degrees--a far cry from last week, when the temperature was just ZERO and my camera froze.

Here we go!

I'm taking these pictures as I run.

(Yes, I take these photos as I run.  I don't stop or slow down.  After all, I'm in a race!)

At the finish line, of course, I do stop...and take pictures of the other finishers.

If you click on the “Play” button in the center of the photo below, you can view my slideshow, and see what I see as I run the fourth Fudgecicle 5K of 2009.  (Go ahead...  Press the button!  Run with Ken!)
