Can this be January in New England? Midday run during a January THAW!

I must be dreaming!

It's a wonderful dream.

The snow has melted and the wind no longer blows
directly down from the North Pole.

(The dreaded "Arctic Vortex.")

I don't need tights and a long-sleeved "technical" shirt.

The mercury has risen to 41 degrees!

Nature has granted us that most wondrous of gifts:
a January Thaw.

A little over a week ago I ran a race when the temp was
seven degrees below zero.

(Wind chill made it feel much colder than that.)

I run every day in New England.
So I did not complain.

But when nature grants a gift like today's
41 degrees and sunshine, I am out the door like a shot!

Sorry.  I can't stay to chat.
This warm spell won't last forever.

Gotta run!

(These photos were taken by a camera I
had placed by the side of the road.
So they're self-portraits.)

It was 41 degrees here in Rochester too and not a flake of snow to be seen. I didn't run in shorts though! You are tough.
